Pregnancy Birth East Kent Meeting 8.12.2016
Fantastic turn-out at Thursday's meeting! We all learnt the excellent news about the successful bid for perinatal funding. We all agreed how welcome this was. We heard from women about the need to develop and maintain such services and how the funding would be used to do so. We also celebrated the opening of a new tongue-tie service in Thanet, finding out more about the service and hearing women's own experiences. We discussed the benefits of carrying out surveys on specific topics to gain feedback and progress the issue. The committee's Terms of Reference could not be agreed at the meeting and will be carried forward. Then we looked at setting meeting dates for 2017 and plans for issues to be raised in the new year.
